    The NEANY Internship Program

    The 2013 NEANY internship program is a Department of Defense (DoD) program designed to:

    • Develop a diverse and well trained STEM workforce for potential DoD employment
    • Increase research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) opportunities with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Minority Institutions (MI) through awareness of their capabilities, students, and actual research assignments
    • Invest in HBCU/MI labs and infrastructure to be used by DoD to increase its capacity and capability to meet its mission and diversify its current and future workforce
    • Offer hands-on experience and professional opportunities to students at large universities and historically black universities
    • Invest in the success of our young people entering a world of global competition
